As we entered we were reminded of he TAA slogan The Friendly Way

The first order of business on arrival was morning tea.

There were many mannequins with uniforms from various eras, which attracted attention.

Photographs of Australian aviation history abounded ...

... as well as lots of technical equipment ...

... discussions with the museum guides ...

... and time for a chat.

After leaving the museum we adjourned to the International Hotel for a very convivial lunch.

Sitting between the two Johns is Colin our bus driver.
Thanks to John Tweedley for the luncheon phogographs.
Following lunch it was off to DFO for some retail therapy.
Finally laden down with purchases, tired but happy we boarded the bus for the trip back to the village.

All of the photographs can be found at this link.
Here is a slideshow of the photographs.
Many thanks to Margaret Lowry and Wendy Rhodes for organising the trip.

Looks like everyone had an informative and fun day. Especially John Kubale (dancing with the Air Hostess). Well done, thanks Steve for sharing this trip with us.

Thanks Stephen. I couldn't go on the trip,so it was great to be able to see what went on!
The mystery trip on Friday was a very enjoyable one with eveybody trying to guess our final destination. We stopped in Daylsford for morning tea and then drove around the Hepburn area. From Wombat Hill we saw just how close the Feb.fires came to the town. After a lovely drive through the country, we arrived in Sebastapol where we had lunch at the golf Club. The menu was very extensive and the food was plentiful and appetising.
Twenty residents (or was it twenty two)had a very happy and relaxing day. Sorry that I don't have any phtos. Jean b
