Christmas Party 2010

This year our Village Christmas Party was held in the our own Community Centre, as was the case with our Australia Day and Christmas In July celebrations.

As is usually the case in our Village many residents assisted in setting up.

We gathered for drinks, Canapés and talk at 11:15 am:

This was the first exerience of one of our big events for some new residents, pictured below (as always, click on photo for a larger version):

After Santa arrived ...

... it was time for lunch ...

... which was ...

... a Christmas Stack - which included Turkey Breast, baked Virginai Han and Loin of Pork ...

... and desert, either Christmas Pudding with Cognac vanilla bean source and double whipped cream of Citrus Lemon Tart with rasberry coulis and rosettes of cream ..

Some of the blokes made an effort to dress up (well at least wear ties)

Many raffle and door prizes were distributed. Here are some of the happy winners ...

Although Pat Hickey will insist that many people were involved in the organisation and running of the day, including Santa's helpers pictured below ...

... the success of the day was largely down to the meticulous organisation and leadership shown by Pat.

Thanks again Pat for a fantastic day!

Here is a link to some photos of the event.
